We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Systems Administratorwho can demonstrate initiative, adaptability, proactive problem solving and a strong work ethic in this full time role. This position will require leadership and mentoring skills as you support the CIO in everyday operations and initiatives, and assist with developing and advising other team members.

The role will suit an individual that has confidence in themselves and their technical/problem solving abilities, coupled with a strong passion for developing their IT career within a highly reputable professional services environment. As such, it is essential that you present and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, articulate IT matters to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

The role requires routine monitoring of the entire IT environment, including servers and systems performance, reviewing of log files, reviewing of other system reports, and mitigating potential issues in a timely manner. The successful applicant would also be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance and smooth running of the IT environment including servers, networks, communications and systems. The position requires the incumbent to not only appropriately react to issues that may arise; but also to be proactive to ensure that potential issues can be prevented wherever possible. This typically involves routine upgrades to operating systems, firmware and hardware. It is necessary that the incumbent is flexible and adaptable enough to assist the IT team by providing Helpdesk Support for end-users as needed (approx. 30% of work allocation).

Essential Position Requirements:

  • Computer Science or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant IT experience
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • VMware Certifications
  • Flexibility and adaptability to provide helpdesk support as required
  • Ability to work reasonable additional hours as required (not regular)
  • Mature and professional presentation and approach to internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in a law firm highly desirable
  • Leadership and management qualities

 3-5 years' experience in a similar senior support role is highly desirable.
