In this role, you will work closely alongside a fantastic Partner, who has a strong reputation amongst his clients, which include insurance brokers and a broad range of small and large employers.
As a mid to senior-level member of the team, you will have the opportunity to run matters from start to finish, while building valuable relationships with clients and receiving hands-on mentorship from senior lawyers. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring more junior lawyers and paralegals in the team, and participate in business development activities as required.
Our ideal candidate will possess:

Approximately 3 to 8 years of post-admission experience in defendant Workers Compensation law - experience in broker preferred work is highly desirable;

- Inputting and maintaining data in our software application (Aderant Expert).
- Monthly billing including drafting and amending invoices.
- Uploading advices, actioning client instructions, and coordinating Independent Medical Examinations.
- Liaising with the courts, the Personal Injury Commission, and other ad hoc administrative tasks.
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant within an Insurance law practice or firm, or similar role. Knowledge of Insurance and/or Defendant Workers Compensation law is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in utilising Microsoft products like Outlook, with the ability to quickly grasp new applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
