About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lawyer to join our Defendant Workers Compensation practice.
You will be exposed to all facets of dust disease, workers compensation, statutory disputes, and damages claim.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

2+ years PQE or experience working with an Insurer, other defendant firm or as a plaintiff lawyer
-
Experience in some or all of the key practice areas of dust disease litigation and respondent Workers Compensation including statutory disputes and work injury damages matters
-
Excellent time management
-
Ability to cope under pressure, manage workflow and effectively prioritise

Strong attention to detail
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
-
An interest in learning about/understanding our clients and their business.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our thriving Defendant Workers Compensation Insurance practice and collaborate with a number of leading practitioners in the industry.

About the team:
As one of the most highly regarded defendant Insurance practices in Sydney, we have an enviable list of clients, including insurers and employers, who seek legal assistance in all aspects of workers compensation, including statutory workers compensation claims and common law WID matters.
In this role, you will work closely alongside a fantastic Partner, who has a strong reputation amongst his clients, which include insurance brokers and a broad range of small and large employers.
As a mid to senior-level member of the team, you will have the opportunity to run matters from start to finish, while building valuable relationships with clients and receiving hands-on mentorship from senior lawyers. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring more junior lawyers and paralegals in the team, and participate in business development activities as required.
Our ideal candidate will possess:

Approximately 3 to 8 years of post-admission experience in defendant Workers Compensation law - experience in broker preferred work is highly desirable;

Strong attention to detail;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow;

A desire to become a leading working Workers Compensation Insurance practitioner; and

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lawyer or Associate to join our high performing, friendly and innovative Commercial Disputes team, and work on a mix of commercial litigation and finance disputes, with a particular focus on mortgage recovery matters.
Owing to the growth of our mortgage recovery practice, we are looking for a lawyer who has the drive and passion to undertake this work, while also assisting with general commercial disputes matters. You will work alongside a supportive team while encouraged to work with high levels of responsibility and autonomy under appropriate supervision.
