A word from Alicia

What excites me the most is utilising my natural instinct to forecast outcomes for the client. Strategising with a complex set of facts whilst taking into account all the possible variables and contingencies, and then having that strategy pay off is the most rewarding aspect of my job. It gives me great satsifaction when the work I do behind the scenes results in real and tangible outcomes for the client.

Career Highlights

  • Educating clients on the importance of co-parenting in high conflict relationships and having the clients implement their learnings with positive results.

  • Resolving approximately 85% of matters without resorting to litigation and otherwise, an additional 5% of matters prior to a final hearing.

  • Successfully defending a wife’s interim application for the appointment of a trustee for sale over the former matrimonial home in circumstances where the husband (client) was the sole registered proprietor and mortgagor and was otherwise facing the prospect of bankruptcy due to a significant taxation judgment debt. In the end, the client retained the home and avoiding an order for the payment of spousal maintenance was the cherry on top.
