Maddi is a Senior Associate in the Insurance Litigation team at Bartier Perry. Her experience is shaped by her prior employment at EML, where she held case management and technical specialist roles overseeing compliance and strategic management.  

At Bartier Perry, Maddi has grown a varied practice in workers compensation and assists a wide range of insurers, specialised insurers, and self-insurers in strategic management of complex and litigated claims.  

Maddi is focused on delivering technical and practical advice which enables clients to make informed, commercially-minded decisions. Her approach emphasises clarity and collaboration. Whether assisting with early claim strategy, navigating complex medical evidence, or preparing matters for hearing, Maddi aims to achieve resolutions that support her clients’ operational and strategic goals. 

 

Qualifications/Memberships

  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with Bachelor of Media (Macquarie University)

  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice

  • Emerging Honorary Lawyer on the executive of the The NSW Workers Compensation Self Insurer’s Association

Career highlights

  • Regularly presenting on workers compensation related issues, including the workers compensation legislation reforms. These seminars have been praised for their insight and practical value, and have helped clients improve claim management processes and prepare for the anticipated changes. 

  • Particular interest in assessments of permanent impairment and ensuring these comply with the SIRA Guidelines and AMA-5. This has led to a strong rate of success in preparing or defending appeals in the Personal Injury Commission. 

  • In 2025, appointed as an Emerging Honorary Lawyer to the executive of the NSW Workers Compensation Self Insurers Association. Maddi is the first person to hold this role, and the recognition reflects her growing expertise and commitment to the industry.
